This suite provides you with the tools needed to create 'part' of your 'COOL' website by creating a menu or navigation system automatically. The user defines all the details, from the menu structure to menu effects and then publishes them straight to the website. It supports DHTML, JAVA, Java applets and Pure HTML. Auscomp eNavigator Suite 2000 is a software package designed for constructing and implementing navigation features for the Web. Though design experience certainly helps, most people should be able to use it for the Internet, Intranet or Extranet. It offers seven styles to choose from. No matter which one you decide to use, the program allows you to build a more coherent and user-friendly site.

Among the options, you can add drop-down boxes, site maps, Start button menus, treeviews, and more. For example, browsing your site can be as easy as clicking a tab, and jumping straight to a selected page without repeated clicks.

Auscomp eNavigator Suite 2000 currently works using four Internet technologies, including HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, and Java applets. 

Knowledge of code isn't required, because much of the work is performed from within the excellent Command Center. It's here where you can edit a navigation tool, as well as manage icons, background images, password protection and more. You can use one of several pre-configured themes, and tailor it to suit your Web site.

In addition to making your site more navigable, Auscomp eNavigator Suite functions as a content manager. Its Site Indexer can crawl your current Web site, extract all the links, and organize them into a nifty "Tab & Tree" or DHTML outline. It contains a large selection of images suitable for use as Web page backgrounds, including watermarked, left-aligned, top-aligned, full-background, and top-to-bottom images. 

It also includes a large number of graphic themes, sound files, flags, and buttons. 

The overall quality of the collection is excellent. 

Note that this is just a sampling of the full product. Images in this preview version have the author's Web address added to them. 

The full product contains more than 3000 individual files.

1st JAVA Navigator is a great applet creator that makes a great file-manager type of interface of your Web site. This site map creation utility lets you specify the number of tabs and directory trees you wish to have. It also lets you specify colors, directory names, and images.

 

Auscomp's 1st JAVA Navigator (the navigation tool chosen by Sun and Netscape for their own Intranet systems) was awarded the top rating from Tucows of 5 cows within the first three weeks of it's release!

One of the keys to an effective online reference system is a table of contents navigation control. Microsoft's use of the site map format in its HTML Help standard is the most visible working example of this.
